I am thinking about getting an iphone and my friend has one. He uses hotmail as his email service. He does have his hotmail account linked up to the mail app that comes with the iphone. When he opens the app, his new email is downloaded and afterwards, he deletes the email. However, if he were to go directly to hotmail's website, those same emails he deleted will still be in his inbox. So basically, yes he can view his new emails, but it's not reflected on hotmail's website.
Is that the same case with gmail? I use gmail and wanna know if I use the mail app that comes with the iphone, will all of my mail folders appear in the app and will everything be "same time?" So to say if i delete an email from the mail application, would it reflected if i go right to my gmail account online?
Sorry for the draw out question, but its the only way I know how to explain it.
